A word about fees

Our clients appreciate a straight-forward approach to fees. We offer hourly billing rates, contingent fees in appropriate cases, fee structures blending the two, and other "creative" billing arrangements.

We discuss our fees up-front, at the beginning of an engagement. Even though our normal hourly billing rates are very competitive given the the experience and sophistication of our attorneys, many clients are uncomfortable with the open-ended, "time and materials" arrangements typical of most firms. So, in many real estate or business transactions and in certain types of litigation matters, we estimate a fee or fee range in advance, and we often quote a flat fee or "not to exceed" fee for such matters.
